Some newly offered cultivars MAY be added to our list after they leaf out
around mid-April. Others, including small, rare, and hard to graft cultivars,
may be added in September. Once a cultivar sells out, it remains so until
the following spring.

Maples ordered in summer may have burned leaves, and look bad, but this is only temporary. Still, spring and especially fall are far better times to ship and plant than summer. We'll delay shipments when temperatures exceed 90 F.
A variegated and reticulated semi-dwarf in the general tradition of Aka shititatsu sawa, Peaches and Cream, and Kasagiyama, featuring cream, orange, and pink pastel tones and prominent veins. Like the other cultivars mentioned, 'Ariadne' is variable through the seasons and in different light conditions, with the colors deepening in summer. If you don't like its appearance, wait awhile. Introduced by Firma Esveld in Holland, it is named for a family member.
